Dive into the vibrant world of mosaics in a relaxed, creative environment. This hands-on class focuses on creating garden-themed mosaics using materials like ceramic tiles, pottery, glass and found objects. You’ll learn essential skills for crafting long-lasting indoor and outdoor pieces, such as wall hangings, sculptures, and sun catchers. With step-by-step instruction, you’ll master techniques in cutting, tool use, installation, and grouting, all while exploring color, style, and personal expression. No prior experience required – by the end, you’ll have completed at least one mosaic and gained all the skills needed for future projects. All skill levels welcome. There is a materials fee ($38) for this course and it will cover: Thinset, grout, mosaic tiles and glass. All tools are provided for use but you are welcome to bring in your favorite tools if you already have them.
